Building on the idea of the Agnus Dei, Jesus as the sacrificial lamb, and the wider notion of sacrifice and martyrdom in religious contexts, the work centres the absurdity of such practices. Referencing the depiction of the Lamb of God, which is part of the Ghent Altarpiece by the van Eyck brothers, Fleischer creates a new hybrid figure, half human, half sheep, bleeding from the neck.

The blood is runs down into a chalice positioned near the groin, a cheeky nod creating a kinkified version of the sacrificial lamb, as is already referenced in the title.
